The Skid Steer Loader Course will give the participant an overview of the three separate types of Loaders –Skid Steer (SSL), Multi-Terrain (MTL) and Compact Track (CTL). Focus will be on individual systems of the machines including Engine, Powertrain, Working Hydraulics andWork Tool Attachments.
Students must bring their own safety glasses, steel toed boots, hard hat and coveralls with hi-visibility markings.
After completion of the course, the participant will have the ability to:
- Locate and identify components from all Machine systems.
- Locate and identify all service points on the Machines.
- Locate and identify all of the main components for the C2.2, C3.3B, and C3.8 Engines.
- Provide an overview of the Emission Controls for each engine model.
- Explain the function of the components in the Powertrain System.
- Trace the flow of oil and energy throughout the Powertrain System.
- Identify and explain the function of the components in the Hydraulic System.
- Trace the flow of oil through the different Hydraulic Systems.
- Identify the different connections required for Standard - and High Flow work tools.
- Apply troubleshooting skills to what was learned in the course to actual machines.
Successful completion of a written examination with a passing grade of 80%.
