  • Proper Maintenance Management schedules (A3 Engines)

  • Proper start-up and shut down procedures
  • Proper loading and unloading procedures
  • Emergency shut down
  • Start-up following emergency shut down
  • Proper oils, coolants and fuels
  • Basic adjustments and readings that the operator responsible for
  • Fuel system component and combustion control recognition (differences between A3 & A4)
  • Understand the tuning process (A3)
  • Understand the tuning process (A4)
  • Understanding “Burn Time” vs “Correction Factor”
  • Understanding NOX sensor involvement for emissions control (A4 Engines only)
